I look forward to every single family session that I book. I truly just love photographing families and capturing those little, magical moments that make up our wild, beautiful, exhausting, incredible experience as parents. This session is totally tailored to your family. We chat about a location that gives you joy & what outfit choices would look best. We talk about what you actually want to do with these photos when the session is over. We talk about your kids and what they’re currently into so I can instantly befriend them with a little Mickey Mouse figurine or the Encanto playlist ready to go on my phone.
I want you to feel as little stress as possible when it comes to a family session with me because I can totally relate to the whole experience with my own kids and we all know, the less pressure, the better. I love all the candid, lifestyle shots, but I also work my absolute hardest to provide you with the framers... The photos you are hoping to get for your holiday card with everyone looking at the camera (ask my clients- I’ll do pretty much anything to get a toddler to smile). Congratulations on your new baby! This is such an exciting and new time whether it’s your first or fourth child and it deserves to be properly documented. In home newborn sessions are so special because I’m coming into such a beautiful little bubble of time for your family. This is a true "lifestyle" shoot where I will photograph the nursery, all of those little details you took months to collect, any keepsakes from family & friends that you would like photographed, and of course your sweet new baby in his or her home.
I love getting shots of your newborn with their older siblings and work hard to create a very stress free, enjoyable experience for everyone. I bring props to pose the baby for some individual shots and will also provide outfits, headbands, and wraps so you don’t have to think about that part. I usually find that newborns do best in the morning hours so I will typically book with a start time around 9:30AM (but I am always flexible to what works best for your family). We always take as many breaks as necessary to feed, change, and soothe the baby. I also recommend that you try and book within their first 10 days for the freshest little peanut photos but I have done “newborns” as old as two months+.
